NSCC and NLCC personnel who participate in summer training which appears in the training schedule will submit a Request for Training Authority - Cadet (NSCTNG001 (links are provided below)). Cadets must prepare this form (typed or printed) in duplicate. Requests must be complete and legible Applicants who qualify for the training, must have their NSCC enrollments current through the training completion date (check your USNSCC ID card). NHQ will return requests which do not meet these criteria.
Follow the directions below to apply for training.
Open
the
NSCTNG001 (PDF file) and fill
the form in with all of the required data to include the course number,
which you will find on the training schedule. Print two copies of the
NSCTNG001, sign it and have a parent’s signature. Make sure to provide
medical insurance company/policy information.
Give the signed NSCTNG001 (MS WORD Doc) forms to the Executive Officer, Liberty (AGTR-5) Division along with a money order for the proper amount of the training.
You may coordinate with the COTC—his/her phone number and/or email address are documented on the Summer Training Schedule, to discuss requirements for transportation--if arriving at an airport, see if the COTC will arrange for transportation or if it is necessary to make other arrangements. You may also have other questions especially if this is your first extended training. If you have ANY questions, contact your CC or other Cadet in the Division who has gone through extended training; they can tell you what you can expect or what you should do.
REMEMBER--Act quickly, the Recruit Training (RTC) and some of the more desirable trainings fill up quickly. Its a first-come, first-serve environment.
